Join us for a unique, hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to design custom calligraphy monograms. Perfect for engraving, etching, or incorporating into your jewelry creations. Whether you’re designing for yourself or a client, monograms add a personal and timeless touch to any piece. What You’ll Learn: Foundations of modern and traditional calligraphy How to design custom monograms from names or initials Adapting your designs for use in metalwork (pendants, rings, engravings, and more) Practical tips for integrating calligraphy into your creative workflow Who It’s For: This workshop is designed specifically for jewelers, jewelry designers, and metalsmiths—no prior calligraphy experience needed. Instructor: Taught by a Vancouver/Victoria-based artist with a Master of Fine Arts and over a decade of experience leading art and design workshops across the region. What’s Included: All materials provided Step-by-step instruction and design feedback Take-home guides and templates for future projects Come and try basic calligraphy and printing based on Roman Capitalis Monumentalis letters, and a little bit of graffiti time for fun.
