Family Drop-In
Friday Night Drop-Ins are a wonderful opportunity for curious community members and budding rockhounds to experience the club in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Each week, participants create a different project, exploring the many art forms, tools, and techniques our club supports.
All are welcome to join us between 6:00 and 9:00 pm. Please note that this is not a drop-off activity. Parents and guardians are required to stay and remain responsible for their children. The club continues regular operations during these hours, and we appreciate everyone’s cooperation in ensuring all members have the space and opportunity to work on their own projects as well.
Families are invited to attend two to three sessions before deciding whether to purchase a membership. Supplies for the featured drop-in project are provided. Additional materials may be available for purchase for those who wish to continue creating.
For everyone’s safety, please wear close-toed shoes and older clothing, and avoid dangling jewelry or loose accessories. Appropriate safety equipment will be provided as needed.
Friday Night Family Drop-Ins are led by an appointed member and supported by dedicated club volunteers. We ask that all participants follow club rules and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Activities may include: Rock painting, soapstone pendants or Inukshuks, copper bracelets, copper shapes, wind chimes, gem trees, beginner fold form on canvas, copper pendant, rock critter, dot painting, beaded necklace or bracelet.
