Cutting the Perfect Oval

Service Description

Prerequisites for this class will are taking any of Carl's classes or having some experience cutting cabs. He will build on your skills to cut the perfect oval. The class will focus on cutting a nice level girdle and smooth symmetric dome with great polish. Each student will complete one to two stones during the class. Bring your own slab or buy one at the club. He suggests a jasper, agate, rhodonite or sodalite. Nothing too hard. Softer stones like obsidian are also not advisable. Participants should bring their own eye protection and a shop apron.
